A Research Of Development In Differences Between Yongchang And Pu’er’s Dai Nationality During Ming And Qing Dynasties

Yongchang and Pu’er are the main distribution areas of Yunnan Dai nationality in Ming and Qing Dynasties.Though both of the areas are with the same nationality, the development of politics, economics, culture etc are different in their own Dai community, such makes the two areas of Dai developed in two different path. The main ideas of this paper are as following:The first part, an overview of the history in Yongchang and Pu’er during Ming and Qing Dynasties, comparing the differences in geopolitics between Yongchang and Pu’er, analyzing the characteristics of the two Dai areas in regional distribution. Then by comparing the differences of The Chieftain in two Dai areas, as well as the different means on improving the Chieftain in Yongchang and pu’er, indicating that the differences in politics development of the two places.The second part, presenting the traffic situation in two places before the Ming Dynasty.Exploring the different traffic history brought about different foreign relations. followed by analyzing the different immigrants in the category and spatial distribution made the two places with different immigrant influence. Finally, compare the development of the economics in two places.The third part,comparing the types of religion in two places.The passing time of religion has been presented in everyday life.Exploring the important position of religion as to culture in both places.Then by analyzing the rise,the development and the quantitative differences in Confucianism and temple education indicating the differences in Dai cultural development between Yongchang and Pu’er.The fourth part, by comparing the closely associated with military conflict in two places of Ming and Qing dynasties, then analyzing the impacts of conflicting events on territory changes and healthy development of society, suggesting that the important position in the border of two areas.The last part, the reason of differences in development in Yongchang and Pu’er is, the different economic development affected the changing of culture and social structure.Besides, the imperial court on two different governance strategy is a direct impact on both the development and crisis.
