Struggle And Transcendence: The Comparison Of Death View Between Mo Yan And Yan Lianke’s Local Novel

Death is always one of the most popular literary subjects, on the vast land of vernacularliterature, the problem of life and death has its unique beauty, the local wr iter, Mo Yan andYan Lianke produced a great many works, the subject of death is inevitable even should bewritten about in their works, there are lots of articles concerning the death, but there are fewarticles refer to the differences between them. Mo Yan is the winner of the Nobel Prize forliterature of new session, maybe his award could not represent the major breakthrough of theChinese literature, but at least, that is the affirmation for Chinese literature, The road aheadwill be long, As long as we will see the dawn, Yan Lianke has lots of connections with MoYan in life experience, what is the connection between them, this is the subject of this article.This paper is divided into introduction and body part, the text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter describes the similarities and differences between the two writers.The second chapter shows the Chinese traditional death philosophy.The third chapter mainly represents the differences between their writing.In the forth chapter, the difference between the city and the country was showed in theirworks.The sixth chapter shows the relationship between research and social current situation.Comparison of the two works was represented at the last chapter, from the aesthetic pointof view of death.
