Cohesion Means Of"Besieged City" Discourse

As an important part of discourse analysis,cohesion is not only the necessary condition to generate discourse,but is aslo the basis to understand the discourse corectlly. Currently, the macro research of discourse analysis is more than the microscopic study.Analyze specificly "besieged city" as the study of the text, in an attempt to explore the rules and characteristics of the Chinese cohesion means.In contemporary Chinese literary works,the characteristics language of besieged city" is concise,humorous,lively and witty,which can bedescribed as a model of Chinese literary works,so selecf "besieged city" as the study of the Chinese cohension means is the most appropriate.The article is divided into five parts,which is lexical cohesion, grammatical cohesion, logical cohesion, thematic structre cohesion and rhetoric cohesion.In lexical cohesion part,with reference to the classification of Halliday and Hasson,analyze "besieged city" mainly from "repeat","synonymous","antisense","generic"and "co-occurrence" five parts;Grammatical cohesion analyze reference, substitution and ellipsis means in order to explore "besieged city" its own cohesion rules; In logical cohesion part,the article analyzesthe the type of composition and cohesion abouf "besieged city" discourse from the logical sense;the forth part is thematic structre cohesion,which focuses on thematic structure and thematic progression type of besieged city"; Finally,the article analyzes rhetoric cohesion.
