The Study On Wu Songliang’s Poetry

Wu Songliang was born in1766and died in1834. He was an active poet,writer and college educator in the middle of Qing Dynasty. Wu left enormous quantity of his works which contain outstanding poetic achievements in this world. However, the research on Wu Songliang’s poetic thoughts and poetry doing by academic circle still needs in-depth advance. This thesis takes Wu Songliang’s poetry as the sutdy object, aiming to explore his poetic thoughts, specific creation and influence.The introduction part of this thesis makes a review on the existing research results about Wu Songliang. The main part consists of three chapters. The first chapter explores the origin of Wu Songliang’s poetic thoughts through his social relations; and makes specific analyses about his poetics; the second chapter interprets the poet’s poetry text, aiming at analysing his mentality and the artistic features of his poetry; combining the environment of the mid-Qing period, The third chapter analyses the activities of Wu, then makes some comparisons of Wu Songliang and Huang Zhongze, in order to discuss the influence and position of Wu’s poems. Wu Songliang is a poet worthy of recognition to some extent, his poetry should not be ignored in the poetry history of Jiaqing and Daoguang period.
