The Study Of Chinese And Japanese "即使类"Concessions Complex Sentence Comparision

Complex sentence is a very important area of either the Chinese grammar study or the Japanese grammar study which has already aroused huge attention from both the Chinese and Japanese scholars in syntactic, semantics and pragmatics. The concessions complex sentence is a very important kind of complex sentences system, but there are still some problems in the definition and classification between concessions complex sentence, assumptive complex sentence and conditional complex sentence which limited the study of the concessions complex sentence, especially the study of Chinese and Japanese concessions complex sentence comparison.Therefore, the author collected many materials of both the Chinese and Japanese concessions complex sentence studies and found that:the Japanese complex sentence study us more inclined to do the classification based on logic; while the Chinese is more based on semantics. So the author decided to combine these two study method together in order to find the common ground of the Chinese and Japanese concessions complex sentences. This dissertation takes Chinese and Japanese concessions complex sentence, especially the "即使类" concessions complex sentence as the study scope, making a research from the logic and semantic transformation sights and finding the difference linguistically between the concessions complex sentence, conditional complex sentence and assumption complex sentence in the Chinese and Japanese language system correspondingly.The findings are:no matters the Chinese concessions complex sentence or the Japanese concessions complex sentence, there is a certain logical relations between the subordinate clause and the main clause, but unlike with the conditional complex sentence and assumption complex sentence, this kind of logical relations did not show an inferential relations; besides this, both the Chinese concessions complex sentence and the Japanese concessions complex sentence cannot realize the semantic transformation between the subordinate clause and the main clause. For these findings, the foundation of the comparison study of Chinese and Japanese concessions complex sentence has been established.Based on the findings between the Chinese and Japanese concessions complex sentence, this dissertation then tried to make the syntax comparison study of the "即使类" Chinese and Japanese concessions complex sentence from four sights. They are:subject; words order; predicate and usage with the negative words. And after these syntax comparison study, the corresponding form of the“即使类”Chinese and Japanese concessions complex sentence has been found, they are“即使”(?)ind "toshitemo(としてゆ)" and "temo(て(?))".
