This thesis mainly focuses on the following aspects: analyzing Korean students’ use of Chinese connectives, categorizing the types of their errors, identifying the reasons of their errors, and putting forward corresponding teaching suggestions. Its aim is to help Korean students to reduce those kinds of errors and get a better management of Chinese.In the first stage of writing this thesis, I selected100compositions which were written by South Korean students from the HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University. Then I collected all the complex sentences which contain connectives and categorized those connectives which imply certain logic relationships in to different classes according to the classification method of complex sentences of Xing Fuyi. After that, I distinguished the wrongfully use of connectives from the correct ones, and classified different kinds of errors into the classifications of lacking connectives, misuse, redundancy and collocation mistakes. Also I used forms to demonstrate the amount of connectives, the amount of each kind of errors, as well as the error rates, and briefly analyze every exact type of errors by listing examples.In the final part of this thesis, I analyzed the characteristics and reasons of the errors of connectives that are made by Korean students. Viewing from the situation of using connectives, I found out that Korea students tend to use limited kinds of connectives; viewing from the types of errors, I discovered that redundancy and lacking connectives were of the highest ratio. Following that, I analyze the causes of errors from the perspectives of the teaching methods, the avoidance strategy and intralingual transfer. And offered corresponding teaching suggestions including that teachers should strengthen the knowledge of linguistics study, teachers should encourage students to use difficult words more often, students should cultivate their language sense of Chinese from all aspects and etc.
