In the words of communication, the first words we often say is the address terms, it determines the relations between the two speakers, so we have the further communication. The right address terms are good for us to continue the next contact, inappropriate address terms will break contacts. Address terms can play a very important role in the communication.First I define the definition of address terms. In Chinese as a second language, the address terms have their own connotation. The current study included address term study and comparative English translation study, but we do not have the study of Chinese as a second language, especially in Chinese as a second language books’ arrangement.This paper is based on the above reasons to study the address terms in<development of Chinese>. Research is mainly from the quantity, content and practice of address terms in the development of Chinese>(intensive reading) to investigate and analyse. Some parts are reasonable. But there are also some shortcomings. From the quantity, address terms of conforming to the outline are not enough. All levels of vocabulary’arragement in books are not very reasonable; From the content, arrangements are lack of continuity. They also have conditions of a lower repetition rate; From the practice, it is lack of the special practice after a certain stage learning. Therefore this paper put forward the corresponding proposal, it should increase the total quantity, reflect the average distribution, improve repetition rate; Form its content we should reflect address terms’characteristics. That is the developing with the time, diversity and practical; From the practice, it should have different kinds of practice and more quantities, separate different styles of practice. Make books really play a guiding role, help students learning and using the address terms. So achieving the goal of actual communication and smoothly writing. I hope this paper can help the arrangement of address terms in books and regulate the use of address terms, also play a role in other teaching materials. In a word I hope it will be good for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
