In Ching Dynasty, academies play an essential role in literature piece creation,social networking and clan culture disseminating. Zhang Zhi Dong, chief governor ofGuangdong and Guangxi, established Guangya Academy upon approval fromGuangxu Emperor in the year of1888, which later grows as Guangya High Schooltoday. Guangya Academy enjoyed high reputation in involving best talents ofGuangdong and Guangxi thus was regarded as most important media of knowledgesharing in South China in late Ching Dynasty.During1888to1912, Guangya Academy cultivated a fresh understanding ofpoem by educating, learning and sharing among its tutors and pupils. A group of localgifted poets, famous of Liang Ding Fen、Zeng Xi Jing、Huang Jie、Luo Dun Rong,with spirit of disseminating traditional Linglam poem style, proactively engaged inpoem sharing sessions in Hubei and Peking thus built a close contact with manywell-known poets of Song style, Tang-Song integrated style, neo-poem style, Hanweistyle etc.The essay aims at illustrating those Guangya Academy poet icons and theirexceptional achievements, theories and concepts, importance to Lingnan poem in lateChing Dynasty. In this way, the article could highlight the role Guangya Academyever played in poem style evolution in Lingnan district, and reveal a picture ofliterature history of late Ching Dynasty.
