Research On Contemporary Old-style Poetry

Since the New Culture Movement and the May 4th Movement happened,the new vernacular literature had become increasingly prosperous and gradually occupied the mainstream of the literary world.Therefore,the status of the traditionalpoetry and lyrics wasrapidly eroded,and was gradually excluded from the mainstream discourse by the literature history,but its creation trend had never stopped.Especially after the Cultural Revolution,due to the foundation of the poetry associations at all levels and their publications,the resumption the CollegeEntrance Examination system,the prosperity of the academic in universities and the popularity of the Internet,poets groups,including members of poetry associations at all levels,scholars,network groups,and other poets groups,began to emerge and formed their own creative characteristics.Among them,the network poets group made the greatest contribution tothe poem creation in subject matter,ideology,techniques and other aspects of performance of the traditional poetry and lyrics,and had created a number of masterpieces,which were different from the traditional poems and with strong contemporary characteristics.However,the creation of thetraditional poetry and lyrics after the Cultural Revolution is lack of concern,and there is little systematic study on them,which become the characteristic of this article.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is an introduction ofthe creation groups and creation conditions of the traditionalpoetry and lyrics after the Cultural Revolution.The contemporary poets can be roughly divided into three parts,the members of the poetry associations at all levels,scholar poets,the network poets,and there is an overview ontheir creation conditions in this chapter.The secondchapter studies the creation works of the scholar poets group,emphasizing on thecase studies and overall description.The third chapter studies the creation works of the network poetsgroup,analyzing two poetic ideas,integrity and innovation.In addition,this chapter also summarizes the creative contributions of the network poets on subject matter,ideology,techniques and other aspects of performance,and studies important poets as case analysis.
