The Clinical Observation Of The Treatment Results Of External Fixation Device And AO Internal Fixation Plate In The Intra-Articular Fracture Of The Calcaneal

Object: To compare the treatment results of external fixation device and AO internalfixation plate in the intra-articular fracture of the calcaneal.Method: Based on Wuxi’ hospital of TCM.32 cases(35 feed) with intra-articularfracture of the calcaneal from 2004.04-2007.11 were divided into two groups according todifferent treatment. 14 patients(15 feed) were treated surgically with external fixation deviceof the calcaneal. 18 patients(20 feed) were treated conservatively with AO calcaneal plate.All the patients were followed up from 6 to 35 months. Comparing and analyzing thesamplings’ gender, age, typing, operation time, length of stay, B(?)hler’s angle. Gissane’sangle and the foot function score, we draw a conclusion according to the statistic.Result: The external fixation device of the calcaneal and AO calcaneal plate have nosignificant difference in the fineness rate, effective rate, foot function and B6hler’s angle.Gissane’s angle’s recovering by the statistics (P＞0.05), AO calcaneal plate group has alonger time of the operation and length of stay than The external fixation device of thecalcaneal group,and got a significant difference (P＜0.01)。Conclusion: The external fixation device of the calcaneal and AO calcaneal plate are allgood method in the intra-articular fracture. But the former can obtain a better effect of thereposition maintainance, and avoid the infection of incisional wound, cutaneous necrosisand fissuration, the complications caused by the stimulation of the skin、tendor、nerve bythe internal fixation and the second operation.It has the advantage of the ecnomy, moresimple fixation method and etc. It may be the conventional therapy in the clinic of theintra-articular fracture,and deserves been spread and applied.
