The Rhizoma Curcumae is the plants of the genus of Curcuma phaeocaulis Val. orCurcuma kwangsiensis S.G. Lee et C.F. Liang or Curcuma wenyujin Y. H. Chen etC. Ling. It has the function of relieveing pain and eliminateing the food. In recent years, ithas been pointed out by many research papers that Rhizoma Curcumae is effectivecombating bacteria, diminishing inflammation, as well as anti-tumor, strengthen theimmunity function and repress the thrombus to become etc.Microsphere useds for the research that the medicine carries the body to begin fromthe 70’s in the middle of 20 centuries, from that time research development is very quick.The application of microsphere product not only can overcome the traditional product ofChinese herbal medicine’s weakness, such as the great capacity, the quantity is unsteadyand takes inconvenience and not proper conservancy etc.And return the ability is betterexertive the Chinese herbal medicine cures the advantage of the chronic disease, raising thebiological activity and bioavailability.Compare with traditional product of Chinese herbalmedicine, microsphere product can release the medicine in time and maintain the higherblood concentration, having the advantage of the medicine path diverse, the curative effecthold out for long time, safety etc.Because oleum curcumae have a kind of especially different bad smell, confine it’sapplication in oral production, the general uses as external appliation or intravenousinjections.Make oleum curcumae into microsphere, can cover up the bad smell of themedicine, on the other hand has a satisfactory effect of hepatic arterial embolization andcontrolled release.The experiment use wet distillation method and supercritical fluid extractionmethod(SFE) to extract oleum curcumae.Through the orthogonal experiment, comparetheir index sign composition and extraction percentage, to choose the better method and thebest craft.Finally comprehensive consider to choose the supercritical fluid extractionmethod(SFE) to extract oleum curcumae, its best craft condition was:extracttemperature, 45℃.extract pressure, 25 MPa.extract time, 2 hour. entrainer dosage, 10%. In this study, oleum curcumae gelatin microspheres were prepared by emultioncoagulation procedure. After single factor tests, the orthogonal design were performed toopitimize the conditions for the process. The best condition was gelation concentration,30%.temperature, 40℃. Agitation rate,medium speed. W/O, 1:4. The microspheres thus derivedhad an embedding rate of 75.75%, a drug loading of 21.58%, and a size mainly around40-140μm.Finally, we use the TLC and HPLC to control the quantity. Initially research thephysicochemical property and the in vitro release character of leum curcumae gelatinmicrospheres.In a word, we study the extraction of oleum curcumae and its microspheres system, toexcellent the craft and carded on enlarge, get the more satisfied experiment result, andestablish the foundation for the microsphere’s industrialization of the aftertime.
