| The article which is based on classical Chinese medicine books,studies the laws ofpreventing and treating the disease about Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy and thecharacters in each epoch. From the history of the name, the etiology and pathogenesis of thedisease, the formula and medicine of preventing and treating the disease studied the law ofthe scientific developing. At the same time, compared with the Chinese traditionalmedicine used in modern time to prevent and treat the Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy,the same and the difference between the two were studied and the reasons for these wereexplained too.With the aim of showing some useful references for Cervical SpondyloticRadiculopathy’s prevention and treatment, 27 formulas were collected from the classicalChinese medicine books used for preventing and treating the disease. With computertechnology, a database of the formulas and medicine were founded. The frequency usedherbs was analyzed by statistic method. Besides this the most frequently used herbs wereselected too. At the same time, 118 formulas were collected from the Chinese traditionalmedicine used in modem time to prevent and treat the Cervical SpondyloticRadiculopathy, which were founded the modern database. By statistic method, the mostfrequently used herbs were selected. Compared the two database, the same and thedifference between the two were studied, and the reasons for these were explained too.The last part of the article poses three basic methods of the preventing and treating forCervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy.
