Objectives:The paper deals on the impact of pulmonary function by atomizingwith Qingkailing Zhusheye after resection of esophageal carcinoma or cardiac carcinoma,to decreasing the postoperative pulmonary complication. In purpose to expanding theapplication of traditional Chinese medicine in chest surgery. Methods:Patients after resection of esophageal carcinoma or cardiac carcinomawere separated randomly into two groups: experimental group and comparative group. Theformer atomized with Qingkailing Zhusheye, and the later atomized with ordinary atomizedliquid. After wards observe the amount of sputum ,the character of sputum and pulmonarymoist rale;check up body temperature ,hemogram and chest radiography;the arterial oxygengas analysis, the capacity of hydrothorax, the time of removing the thoracic close drainagewere measured. Finally, deal with these data with statistics. Results: The amount of sputum of the experimental group on 2th-5th day afteroperation is different from the comparative group in statistics (P<0.01) , The character ofsputum of the experimental group on 4th&5th day is different from the comparative group instatistics (P<0.01, P<0.05) ;The comparisons of days of fever (P>0.05) ,WBC on 1th&6th(P>0.05) ,N% on 1th&6th (P>0.05) ,accumulated points of chest radiography on 1th&6th(P>0.05) ,the capacity of hydrothorax (P>0.05), the time of removing the thoracic closedrainage (P>0.05) , the arterial oxygen gas analysis (PSaO2>0.05. PPaO2>0.05. PPaCO2>0.05) ,show no significant difference. Conclusions: Atomizing with Qingkailing Zhusheye after resection of esophagealcarcinoma or cardiac carcinoma could dilute the sputum of patients, and promote spittingphlegm. But there are no significant differences in body temperature、hemogram、chestradiography、the capacity of hydrothorax and the arterial oxygen gas analysis.
