Macrophages plays an important role of the nonspecific cell immunity , themacrophages once stimulated alive will dissolve the cancer cell selectively and restrict thegrowth of the cell. The cytotoxic and restricting to cell of macrophages relegate to cellcontact and release of all kinds of cytokine, for example IL-1β, TNF-α. The function ofswallowing is also one of the important systems of the macrophages killing and injuring thecancer cell. The prophase study had testified that SWB had the effect of positiveimmunoregulation. On the basic, the paper investigates whether SWB has an effect onpromoting the swallowing ability of the macrophages ,together with the release of IL-1βand TNF-α.After synthesizing the related immune literature of cancer, the paper elucidatessystemic the relation between macrophages and immunoregulation. Integrating the theoryof Zheng and Xie of TCM, the paper defines new conception of the swallowing ability ofthe macrophages.IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-αare mainly released by macrophages, theswallowing ability and the cytokine of TH1 for IL-1β、TNF-a, which are released bymacrophages all belong to Zheng in TCM. IL-6 is the cytokine of TH2 ,belongs to Xie inTCM. Therefore, whether SWB can improve immune function is the key problem of thepaper discussed.According to the research, selecte macrophages as an object to observe from the angleof the cancer nonspecific cell mediated immunity, and discuss the problem that SWB canimprove immune function. Using the method of culture in vivo, the paper have observedthe effect of SWB on the increase of the Ana-1 macrophages cells, and find out SWB canpromote the proliferation of Ana-1 cells and strengthen the function of swallowing ability and chemotaxis. It also represents dependent relationships in a certain dosage. Thisexperiment has confirmed that SWB can improve immune function.Because macrophages can release some poisonous matter for instance IL-1β, TNF-αtoinduce the cancer cell apoptosis. This experiment using the radiate immunity investigate theexpression of IL-1βand TNF-αin culture supernatant from Ana-1 cell treated by SWB.The result suggests SWB can improve the release of IL-1βand TNF-αof Ana-1 cell.The experiment of SWB to the HepG2 liver cancer cell proves that SWB can restrict therelease of IL-6 from the HepG2 liver cancer cell.Using the method of cancer cell supernatant cultured, shows that SWB improves therelease of IL-1β, TNF-αfrom Ana-1 cell treated by HepG2 liver cell supernatant.The experiment indicate SWB can excrete IL-1βand TNF-α, but restrict IL-6, that isone of the reasons effecting on the immune state by SWB, and it further confirmed thatSWB can reverse the excursion of Th1/Th2 to realize the immune function ofbearing-tumor host.
