BackgroundMedicine and health work which is closely related to life is a guardian of health, and the role of health professionals who are engaged in it is crucial. With the development of social, economic and medicine, the demanding to health professionals is increasing high. In order to complete the daily task that is heavy and delicate, health professionals need harmonious relationships, better controlling their daily medical work, improving themselves from work, and reducing the pressure, which are converted into work feeling of them in our research. As the top of the three-tier medical network, the country government-run hospital plays a leading role. Therefore, it has important practical significance and far-reaching historical significance to understand the work experience of health professionals in the country government-run hospital.ObjectivesThis study aims to understand the work feeling status of health professionals in county government-run hospitals in Shandong province and analyze its determinants, in order to provide basis for improving the work quality, relieving work pressure, and formulating relevant policies.MethodsIn this study, a multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method was used. First of all, we selected a prefecture-level city respectively from each of eastern, central and western regions of Shandong Province randomly. Secondly, we selected three counties from each sample city randomly, with a total of nine counties. Then, we surveyed all the health professionals of all county public hospitals (including county general hospitals and traditional Chinese medical hospitals) from sample counties, where we sent a total of3200questionnaires, of which we recovered the effective ones2903, and the effective rate was90.7%. ACESS software was used to establish the database and SPSS17.0was used for statistical analysis.(1) Mean and standard deviation are used with the numeric data complying with the normal or nearly normal distribution, otherwise, rate and composition are used with the disaggregated data complying with the normal or nearly normal distribution to do general description of the situation (2) Using rank sum test to do univariate analysis for work feeling of health professionals (3) Using ordinal regression to do multivariate analysis for work feeling of health professionals.Main Results:1.In the country government-run hospitals of Shandong Province, health professionals do not have optimistic relationships, and the sense of work controlling is high overall. What’s more, the degree of enhancing the capacity of individuals from work needs improving, and the work pressure can not be ignored.2.(1) The factors that affect work relationships are gender, professional category, department and the number of weekly physical activity, of which the relationship between male is better than female, doctors have more harmony relationship than medical technicians, the interpersonal relationship in pediatric gynecology is better than others. However, the ones participate in exercises regularly have no better relationship than those who never do it.(2) The factors that affect sense of work control are highest education degree, professional technical position, personal monthly income, having administrative duties or not, classification of objective support and subjective support. Among them, sense of work control of the ones with lower highest education degree and professional technical positions, higher personal monthly income and classification of objective support and subjective support is higher than others. In addition, sense of work control among health professionals having administrative duties is better than those who do not.(3) The factors that affect the degree of enhancing individual ability from work are the highest education degree of factors, monthly income, pain or discomfort or not and subjective support classification. Among them, the degree of enhancing individual ability of health professionals with lower highest education degree, higher personal income and subjective support classification, without pain or discomfort of health professionals is higher than others.(4) The factors that affect sense of work pressure factor are age, department, perceived health status, quality of sleep and the use of supports. Among them, health professionals of39years old below believe that they have higher work pressure than those of over50years old. The work pressure of internal medicine, surgical, gynecology and obstetrics departments is higher than others, and the ones with good perceiving health status and quality of sleep have lower work pressure than others.Countermeasures and Suggestions:1.Hospital level:(1) To allocate health human resources rationally, particularly internal medicine, surgical, gynecology and obstetrics departments.(2)To provide opportunity to learn new knowledge and accept new things through a variety of channels for the medical staff with particular attention to those with higher education.(3)To establish psychological counseling studio, and pay attention to those with poor health and sleep quality.(4)To carry out a variety of sports activities, and encourage women, departments except internal medicine, surgical, gynecology and obstetrics ones and medical technicians to participate.2. Individual level:(1) To take an active part in various recreational activities organized by the hospital, and to always maintain a pleasant mood.(2) To strengthen exchanges between colleagues, including with the health professionals of same and different departments.(3) To take excises to keep physically fit.(4) To continue to break yourself and keep learning new knowledge and new things.3. Social level:To give health professionals an objective and impartial view and a lot of understanding.
