Background:Mental health problems of health professionals have been increasingly concerned in recent years. Medical work is a high stress job. Health professionals are prone to depression feelings or symptoms because of heavy treatment and nursing work, social competition, pressure in life, different hospital management and individual character et al.Objectives:The study aims to understand the depression status among health professionals in county public hospitals in Weihai and Heze Shandong Province and analyze its influencing factors, so as to provide recommendation for early prevention and treatment about health professionals’ depression, improve their work performance and quality of medical services.Methods:In this study, a multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method was used. The study interviewers were2083medical professionals in county public hospitals in Weihai, Heze, Shandong Province. Descriptive and χ2test was used in the univariate analysis of the prevalence rate of health professional. Binary Logistic Regression was used to explore the influencing factors in the multi-variate analysis. Statistical analysis was used SPSS16.0.Results:(1) The depression rate of the1175health technical personnel in Weihai was40.5%; the depression rate of the908health technical personnel in Heze was 35.4%. The depression rate difference was statistically significant.(2) The univariate and multivariate analysis showed that:the department, the average level of monthly income, the sleep quality, the degree of physical pain or discomfort, the degree of anxiety or frustration, the Health Index, the degree of respect of patients, the work-family behavior conflict, and the work-family pressure conflict were the main influencing factors of the positive rate in Weihai. The sleep quality, the capacity for action, the degree of respect of patients, the degree of anxiety or frustration, the Health Index, the degree of respect of patients, the overall level of social support, the level of objective support, the work family behavior conflict were the main influencing factors of the positive rate of health professional in Heze.Conclusion:(1) The health technical personnel’s depression rate in Weihai area was higher than the depression rate in Heze area.(2)The sleep quality, the degree of Physical pain or discomfort, the degree of anxiety or frustration, the Health Index, the degree of respect of patients, the work-family behavior conflict were common influence factors of Depression in both Weihai and Heze area. The departments, the average level of monthly income, the work-family pressure conflict were the unique factors of Depression in Weihai area. The Capacity for action, the overall level of social support, the level of objective support was the unique factors of Depression in Heze area. |
