Adenomyosis Combined With Endometrial Carcinoma In Perimenopausal Women:Cases Report And Review Of The Literatures

Objective:To explore the pathogeneses of adenomyosis(AM) and endometrial carcinoma,in order to find the relationgship between adenomyosis and endometrial carcinoma.Methods:Retrospective analyze seven cases of AM complicated with endometrial carcinoma in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women, who were treated in the department of Gynecology of the Shandong Qianfo Mountain Hospital affiliated to Shandong University from2012to2013.Combined with literature data, to discuss the pathogeneses of adenomyosis and endometrial carcinoma,as well as the relations between them.Results:Patient age ranged from48to62years. Two cases are postmenopausal women. The main clinical manifestations include abdominal bleeding(5cases), menorrhagia(1case) and endometrial lesions(1case).2cases of adenomyosis proved to be endometrial carcinoma by pathology.4cases, which were diagnosed with endometrial lesions, combined with adenomyosis were confirmed by pathology.1case was diagnosed endometrial carcinoma combined with adenomyosis before operation,and was confirmed by pathology.The treatment method was operation,3cases plused chemotherapy. Fellow-up after operation, six patients were alive and well, one patient (stage IIIC1) who did not plus chemotherapy in time, occurred distant metastasis at7months after operation and now is in the fifth course of chemotherapy.Conclusions:1.There may be some correlation between AM and endometrial carcinoma. AM may be one of the high risk factors of endometrial carcinoma.2.For the perimenopausal or postmenopausal women with AM, who at high risk for endometrial carcinoma, a preventive hysterectomy can be considered.
