Objective:The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between Posttraumatic Growth, Positive Psychological Characters(gratitude, silver lining) and Adversity of Childhood in colorectal cancer survivors. Methods:An investigation was conducted in colorectal cancer survivors with a minimum Of1years after diagnosis at a third-level grade-A hospital in Jinan, Shandong Province. Instruments were General Information Questionnaire, Gratitude Questionnaire, Sliver Lining Questionnaire,ACE Questionnaire, and posttraumatic growth Questionnaire used to collect demographic and clinical information and assess Gratitude level, silver lining, adversity of childhood and posttraumatic growth of the participants. Statistical analysis include one-way ANOVA and independent t-test to compare Gratitude, silver lining, posttraumatic growth in different patients; The relationship between ACE,posttraumatic growth, and silver ling was analyzed by pearsoncorrelation analysis and spearman analysis. regression analysis was made to explore the influencing factors of PTG in Colorectal cancer survivors. Results:It did’t found the differences in PTG based on demogra-phic variables; but it found the significant differences between uncumulative adversity group and cumulative adversity group in PTG(P=0.027).Correlation analysis reveals that there is a negative relation between ACE and the interpersonal Relationship of PTG (r=-0.261,P<0.01) but positive relation between silver ling and all dimensions of PTG (r=0.220-0.427, P<0.05).silver ling (p=0.046)and ACE(P=0.003) are the predictors of all dimensions of PTG and general level. Conclusions:1. There are no significant differences in PTG based on demographic variables.2. ACE is significantly negative related to PTG but silver ling is positively related to PTG in Colorectal cancer survivors.3. ACE and silver ling can predict all dimensions of PTG and general level in colorectal cancer survivors.
