Objective:To explore the relationship of both viral load and ALT withInterleukin-18and Interleukin-4respectively. And to analyze the expressionlevel and clinical significance of IL-18and IL-4in CHC patients. Methods:CHC patients, blood serum and datum of cases were collectedwho received treatment in our hospital from Dec.2012to Apr.2013. All of theCHC were choosed in accordance with the diagnostic criteria of “Hepatitis CPrevention Guide” published by Chinese Medical Association in2004. IL-18,IL-4, HCV RNA and ALT of peripheral serum were detected by ELISA,PCR-Fluorescent Probe and Automatic Biochemical Analyzer respectively.Results:(1) The level of serum IL-18in CHC patients group(M=118.52pg/ml)was significantly increased compared with the control group(M=11.09pg/ml).The differences were statistically significant(P=0.000). The level of serumIL-4had no significant difference between the CHC patients group and thecontrol group(P>0.05). IL-18/IL-4of patients(M=28.27pg/ml) was greaterthan the healthy control group (P<0.05). (2) Correlation analysis showed that IL-18is positively correlated withIL-4in the patients(r=0.615).(3) The level of IL-18was not significantly different between HCVRNA(+) group and HCV RNA(-) group, neither was IL-4(P>0.05).(4) Correlation analysis showed that there was significant correlationneither the level of IL-18(r=0.015) nor IL-4(r=0.175) with viral load inpatients with HCV RNA(+).(5) Correlation analysis showed that there was significant correlationneither the level of IL-18(r=0.191) nor IL-4(r=0.235) with ALT in patientsgroup.Conclusions:(1)The level of IL-18increased significantly in the process of CHC.IL-18is related to the development of the disease.(2) IL-8/IL-4in CHC patients was unbalanced, Th1cells’ advantage mayplay a role in the pathogenesis.
