Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of clostridium butyricum retention-enema toprevent acute radiation proctitis of cervical cancer.Methods:60cervical cancer patients were randomly divided into combination group(30case) and single radiotherapy group (30case). All the patients receivedconventional radical radiation (extracorporeal irradiation and intracavitary therapy). The patients who are in combination group took clostridium butyricum retention-enemathree times every-week before retiring while the other group just took radiotherapyalone during this time.Results:1. Ⅰdegree of acute radiation proctitis incidence was5/30in combination group, and that of Ⅱgrade of acute radiation poctitis was2/30. There is no Ⅲ degree of acuteradiation proctitis. In the single radiotherapy group, the incidence rates of Ⅰ,Ⅱ andⅢ grade of acute radiation poctitis were16/30,8/30and2/30. Comparing the two groupsp<0.01, the difference was statistically significant.2. Combination group average radiation time is43.6±1.2days,the single radiotherapygroup is43.6±1.2days,Comparing the two groups p<0.05, the difference was statisticallysignificant. Conclusion: Clostridium butyric acid retention enema is an effective method ofprevention of acute radiation proctitis... |
