Objective:To investigate the diagnostic methods and therapeutic strategy of.Methods:The retrospective analysis was involved into clinical data from359objects with peripheral solitary pulmonary nodules in Qilu Hospital of Shandong University from January2005to July2013, which were ablated by surgical interference and were confirmed though pathology.202male and157female were included, and the age ranged from20to83(57.4±11.2).150cases out of359occurred cough, sputum and haemoptysis, while209cases had no apparent symptom.Results Pathological findings:296patients were identified as lung malignancy by postoperative pathology, including178patients with adenocarcinoma,48patients with squamous-cell carcinoma,39patients with bronchioloalveolar carcinoma,10patient with small cell lung carcinoma,10patients with Large cell lung, four patients with adenosquamous carcinoma, six patients with carcinoid and one patients with osteosarcoma. Additionally,63patients were benign lesions that included17patients with hamartoma,14patients with inflammatory pseudotumor,12patients with pneumonia,10patients with pulmonary tuberculoma,5patients with sclerosing hemangioma,2patients with pulmonary cyst,1patients with granuloma,1patients with cryptococcus inflammation and1patients with fungi focal. Conclusion:CT is the primary technology among various methods for peripheral solitary pulmonary nodules diagnosis. Meanwhile PET-CT plays a significant role on the identification between benign and malignancy. Overall, it is recommended that patients with peripheral solitary pulmonary nodules should be treated surgical therapy as early as possible.
