Objective: To compare and analysis the outcome of clinical efficacy by usingtitanium cages and non-profile cage.Method: From March2013to September2013,20patients treated byanterior decompression, implantation of no-profile cervical intervertebral fusioncage and autologous iliac crest graft were taken as experimental group (groupA).27cases treated by anterior corpectomy, cervical spinal canal expansion, decompression and titanium cage titanium plate fixation were taken as control(group B). Comparing with two groups of operation time, blood loss in theoperation, and JOA (Japanese Orthopedic Association) score which used toassess curative effect was carried out. Evaluation and comparison of twodifferent fusion implant were performed by observing the imaging data ofpre-operation, postoperative and follow-up.Results: All the patients were followed-up of7to12months: Group Awas followed-up of8to12months (an average follow-up of9.90months);Group B was followed-up of7to12months (an average follow-up of8.78months). Average operation time of group A was72.85±18.41min. Averageblood loss of group A was80ml. Average operation time of group B was93.04±27.74min. Average blood loss of group B was200ml. There was significant difference of two groups. There was insignificant difference ofimaging data of two groups, but cage group is less incidence of postoperativedysphagia than titanium cage group. Conclusions: The results indicated that both of the two surgical methodshave reliable clinical outcomes for single-level CSM; however, the former onecan reducing surgical bleeding and saving more time. Meanwhile, the formerone can effectively reducing the incidence of dysphagia and other earlycomplications...
