ObjectiveThe purpose of the study is to explore the radiation workers’ every dimension ofmental health assessment scale, anxiety and depression status in some city and the influencefactors, to understand the mental health scale of radiation workers and propose self-caremeasures, providing support for the safe operation of the radioisotope and ray devices.Methods1. Assessment tool: Research used the Mental Health, which was researched anddeveloped by the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. The self-evaluationanxiety scale and self-rating depression scale which was domestic widely used to test onthe radiation worker.2. Sample collection: The samples came from the the radiation workers in some cityand the Chinese nuclear power plant operators, sample extraction using cluster randomsampling method. This thesis chooses every dimension of mental health assessment scale, anxiety, depression and mental health personality factors as the research projects.3. Standard test: Testing by professional personnel to arrangement, supervision andguidance, and they were required subjects to complete the test by one-time which accord tothe unified instruction. Test environment was required quiet, comfortable and tried to avoidthe noise and other interference.4. Statistical analysis: Independent-Sample T Test, One-Way ANOVA,and chi-squaretest were used to analysis these date. Results1The study of the radiation workers’ every dimension of mental health assessmentscale, anxiety and depression status in some city1.1Influence analysis of demographic variable of every dimension of mental healthassessment scale factor on the radiation workersThe radiation workers of different sex showed significant differences on emotionalstability, optimistic, intelligence, anxiety, liveliness and illusion. The radiation workers ofdifferent education’s significant difference came from intelligence, emotional stability, anxiety, self-discipline and urgency. The radiation workers of different marital statusshowed significant differences on emotional stability, recalcitrance, courage, tendentious, illusion and anxiety. The radiation workers of different work’s significant difference camefrom emotional stability, illusion and anxiety. The radiation workers’ intelligence, emotional stability, liveliness, courage, tendentious, illusion and self-discipline relatedwith age, and the intelligence, emotional stability, liveliness, illusion and self-disciplinerelated with length of service.1.2Analysis on influenc factors of the radiation workers’anxiety and depressionThe radiation workers’SAS average was42.55±10.29,SDS average was51.94±10.18,SAS and SDS scores were higher than Chinese norm (P<0.05). Multiple factors logisticregression showed that gender, personal dose of radiation workers and the training were theinvolved in anxiety mood(2=47.21, P<0.05), while degree of education, personal dose ofradiation workers and the training were related with depression mood(2=329.83,P<0.05).2The mental health personality factor’s group analysis of the radiation workers andthe operators2.1The comparison of the Mental Health’all dimensions between the radiationworkers with the operatorsThe radiation workers’score of tendentious, anxiety, urgency were significantly highercompared with the operators (P<0.05), the score of intelligence, emotional stability, liveliness, immutability, illusion and aggressive were lower than it (P<0.05), and the score of optimistic, recalcitrance, courage, harmony, self-discipline had no difference betweenthem.2.2The mental health personality factor’s group analysis of the radiation workers andthe operatorsMental health normal and above accounted for60.91%(174/281), while excellentaccounted for3.91%(11/281), well accounted for17.79%(50/281). Mental health normaland above accounted for85.77%(241/281), while excellent accounted for15.30%(43/281), well accounted for41.64%(117/281), The two groups of mental healthpersonality factor score level is statistically significant difference.3The study of psychological intervention measures of radiation workers in a givenarea The evaluation results of mental health assessment scale, SAS, SDS for radiationworkers suggest there were abnormal mental health, and effective interventions canimprove the mental health of radiation workers.ConclusionMental health assessment scale, SAS and SDS which were effective tool forevaluation on the radiation workers adopted by the subject has carried on the preliminarystudy of the radiation workers. The mental health of the radiation workers is normal andcan be competent for the job, but there are some differences between different groups ofthe radiation workers.we can give appropriate intervention measures to improve theirmental health. |
