Study design: Oswestry Disability Index(ODI), Quebec Back Pain DisabilityScale(QBPDS), Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire(RDQ) testing in a conveniencesample of patients with low back pain of Recurrence of LDH.Objective: For the patients with postoperative recurrence of lumbar disc herniationthrough different functional evaluation scale (ODI, and QBPDS, and RDQ) compares thereliability of the evaluation scale study on low back pain dysfunction.Summary of Background: As the dysfunction scales in patients with postoperativerecurrence of lumbar disc herniation, ODI, RDQ, QBPDS have been translated into manylanguages and have been applied widely, but so far no formal scholars studied whetherpatients with postoperative recurrence of lumbar disc herniation could use these scalesabove. This study was designed to evaluate the different functions scale (ODI, QBPDS,RDQ) compared with each other in order to choose the best one for these patients. Methods: Collecting30cases of patients with postoperative recurrence of lumbardisc herniation in our hospital. And it is randomly divided into group A and group B, bothof them has15cases. The group A will be tested by one person while the group B will betested by two persons before and after the operation. Calculate the mean and standarddeviation with SPSS19and statistical package, do Pearson correlation analysis andSpearman rank correlation analysis and do Cronbach’s alpha test. The test level α=0.05.Results: The score of ODI, RDQ and QBPDS in group A is25.12±5.10,14.66±3.65and56.59±12.43; and the score of ODI, RDQ and QBPDS in group B is5.10±0.58,6.07±0.84and20.47±0.65. The ODI, RDQ and QBPDS of different group before and afterthe operation compared with each other, and the Pearson show significant correlation (0.8~1.0). Before the operation the highest correlation of ODI and QBPDS in group Aand group B is0.96and0.971; while after the operation the highest correlation of ODI andRDQ in group A is0.813, and after the operation the highest correlation of ODI andQBPDS in group B is0.981. The difference of ODI, RDQ and QBPDS is not significantwhile applied in different groups(P<0.05). The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of ODI, RDQand QBPDS before and after the operation is lager than0.8.Conclusion: The ODI, RDQ and QBPDS scales have the advantages of simplestructure, easy to fill out and easy to calculate scores and so on. It shows that the ODI,RDQ and QBPDS scales have good reliability and validity for the patients withpostoperative recurrence of lumbar disc herniation. While assessing the ability to performbasic activities of daily life of the patients with postoperative recurrence of lumbar discherniation, two persons is superior than one person.
