Survey And Analysis On Access Training Demands Of The Chemotherapy Nurses And Radiotherapy Nurses

Objective:This study is aimed to make suggestions on the contents, methods, time and other aspects of the access training programs for chemotherapy nurses and radiotherapy nurses, and provide scientific and reasonable basis to develop the access training programs through investigating the training demands of the nurses from the cancer hospitals.Methods:The chemotherapy nurses and radiotherapy nurses who were from the three different cancer hospitals in Zhejiang province were chosen by the convenient sampling method, to answer two questionnaires designed by the investigators,which included the access training contents, methods, and the time. All of the data was analyzed by SPSS16.0.Results:The average score of each item of the chemotherapy access training demands was between3.82～4.84, and the average score of each item of the radiotherapy access training demands was between3.82～4.72.The methods of the training should be more diversity according to the contents.72.3%of the chemotherapy nurses and66.7%of the radiotherapy nurses considered that the nurses should complete the access training programs at their first working year in the cancer hospitals. The nurses of different education backgrounds only had statistical difference on the interventional therapy and nursing about the chemotherapy access training. The nurses of different working experience had significant statistical differences on the chemotherapy nursing related management system and emergency plan and process, and on the chemotherapy patients health education guidance.the nurses with different education backgrounds and working experience had no significant difference on the radiotherapy access training demands.Conclusions:The main contents of the access training for radiotherapy and chemotherapy nurses were the nursing theories and skills on chemotherapy and on radiotherapy,and clinical practice.We should pay more attention on training of the radiotherapy and chemotherapy protection knowledge.The methods of the training should be in more diversity in order to improve the training effect, and the nurses were necessarily to complete the training program at their first working year in the hospital.
