This thesis mainly researches Yang Lishan’s academic ideas of prescription,who is an epidemiologist in Qing Dynasty,by his worksArticledistinctionbetweenTreaties on Exogenous Febrile Diseases and Epidemic Diseases, and the law of treating disease when TCMphysician in present age using Yang’s academic idea.The thesis compr i ses three parts. Part1refers to ancientdocumentDifferentiation Between Treaties on Exogenous Febrile Diseases and Epidemic Disease.Firstly,the thesis summarizes the theoretical origin, differentiation between Exogenous Febrile Diseases and pestilence, the pathogenicfactors, pathogenesis, therapeutic principles and recipes of pestilence,by combing,inducing and analyzing the document. Secondly,the thesis analyzes fifteenprescriptions created by Yang Lishan,through Access method,and then concluding the law of Yang Lishanmaking formula and description.Yang Lishan is in an era when there aremany pestilences.Yang hatesbitterly that TCM physician ofthetimecan’t distinguishpestilence from Exogenous Febrile Diseases,who write wrong prescriptions for the patients,even leadingthe patients to death.Therefore,Yang Lishan devotes himselfto thestudyof the difference between Exogenous Febrile Diseases and pestilence,and finally he compiles hisworks Differentiation Between Treaties on Exogenous Febrile Diseases and Epidemic Disease.Yang pays attention to five elements’motion and s i x k i nds of natura I factors, he discusses its influences on bodyat the beginning of the works.YangLishan’academicorigin is complicated,which influenced by Treatise on Febrile Diseases,Yu Jiayan,Wu Youke,Zhang Lu and Liu Hejian.Yang Lishan presents that Zaqi is the pathogen of of pestilence,that pathogenesis of pestilence is " stagnated heat", that the method of treat i ng pest i I ence i s dispersing and purgingstagnated heat.In addition, the law ofYang Lishan’s making formula anddescription is that he attaches importance todispersion and dissipation with pungent and cool herbals, clearing heat with bitter and cold herbs, removing filth and toxical material, regulating qi activity in triple energizerperspective, promoting urination to clear away heart-fire, searching for fundamental of disease in treatment and simultaneous clearing and strengthening.Part2deals with modernclinical application of Yang Lishan’s academic ideas.The object of study is223modern literatures with448medical records, which retrievaled from CNKI,Wan-fang database, VIP database and library of BUCM(Beijing University of Chinese Medicine)between5,1958to6,2013, exceptliteratures of experiment research,with no cases, theoretical research and repetition.The research method is Access2010database,with wich analyzes disease, pathogenesis, tongue picture and pulse condition, primary symptom and the law ofmak ing formulas and descriptions. Through theana lysis above, I can get some results such as the kinds of diseases of modern TCM physician treating with Yang Lishan’fiftheen prescription are various,with20kinds and287species, among which Sheng Jiang Powder is most frequently used.Yang Lishan fiftheen prescriptions are ofen used to treat disease of dermatology, ear-nose-throat, neurology,gastroenterology and infectious diseases,most of which are showed as heat syndrome,with pathogenesis of stagnated heat and stagnation of qi;as the tongue pictures mainly includered tongue and yellow tongue coating, red tongue and ye I I ow greasy moss; as the pulse condition mainly include rapid pulse and string-like pulse;as the symptoms are mainly fever,maculas,headache,cough,dizziness,pharyngalgia,mouth ulcers and so on;as the herbsof modern TCM physician using mainly are Jiang Can,Chan Tui,Da Huang, Jiang Huang, Gan Cao, Huang Qin, Li an Qiao,Zhi Zi,Chai Hu,Yin Hua,Dan Pi and so on;as the herbs ofen used together are Jiang Can and Chan Tui, Chan Tui and Da Huang, Jiang Can and Jiang Huang,Gan Cao and Jiang Can, Gan Cao and Da Huang,Huang Qin and Chan Tui,Lian Qiao and Jiang Can,Huang Qin, Jiang Can and Chan Tui and Da Huang, Jiang Can and Chan Tui and Gan Cao, Jiang Can and Chan Tui and Huang Qin, Jiang Can and Chan Tui and Lian Qiao,and so on.Modern TCM physicians attach importance to the Sheng Jiang Powder, and Jiang Can and Chan Tui are especiallyvalued. That Gan Cao has a large proportionproves that modern TCM physicians making prescr iptionquitely mildly. TCM physicians ofen treat these disease with Sheng Jiang Powder and compat herbs of cool,cold, pungent,such as Huang Qin,Zhi Zi,Lian Qiao,Yin Hua,Dou Chi,Shi Gao,Bo He,Dan Pi and so on.Moreover,they ofen use the herbs of soothing the liver, nourishing liver,such as Chai Hu,Shao Yao and so on. Part3is concluding message,whichspellsout theabove conclusions in addition to puts forward some personal opinions.
