Constipation is a symptom group of many diseases, it has become the common disease and frequently occurring disease which seriously decline the life quality of patients. Because of its pathogenesis is not fully revealed, so the treatment is difficult and lacks satisfactory effect after treatment. According to the causing of intestines, anorectal function and characteristics of power, constipation can be classified to three types, namely the slow transit constipation, outlet obstruction constipation and mixed constipation, mainly mixed constipation. Procedure prolapse and hemorrhoids combined with intensive catgut implantation at acupoint is based on the theory of traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine, Presenting the advantages of both traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, significantly improved the clinical symptoms of mixed constipation patients, the results were satisfactory. This study combined PPH with intensive catgut implantation at acupoint in therapy for mixed constipation, and compared with other methods by observing the clinical effects, in order to establish a complete, effective technology system of PPH combined with intensive catgut implantation, and provide a reliable and safe treatment combining traditional Chinese and western medicine for mixed constipation. The clinical treatment effects of mixed constipation were compared among different methods. The treatment group were treated with PPH combined intensive catgut implantation at acupoint. For the control group I, only PPH were takes. The control group II underwent intensive catgut implantation at acupoint.50cases of each group were randomly selected. After postoperative follow-up, the differences of clinical efficacy, defecography,72h marker residue and symptom scores between groups were analyzed by statistical methods. The results show that:1) Regarding to the clinical curative effect, the total effective rate of the treatment group, control group I and II was96%,90%,76%respectively, there was significant difference between three groups (P<0.05).Both of the treatment group and control group I were better than the control group II (P<0.01). The difference of clinical efficacy between treatment group and control group I, there was no statistically significant (P>0.05).2) Comparison of the postoperative efficacy by defecography, the total effective rate of the treatment group, control group I and Ⅱ was94%,97%,72%respectively, there was significant difference between three groups (P<0.05). While the treatment group and the control group were compared, there was no significant difference (P>0.05). Compared the control group II with the treatment group and control group I respectively, there were significantly differences (P<0.01).3) For72h marker residue after1and3 months, patients in the three groups were significantly different (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group II (P>0.05). Control group I compared with the other two groups, there were significant differences (P<0.01). The72h marker residue between the three groups of patients had no significant difference after12months (P>0.05).4) During the same period of7d,1,3,6and12months, the postoperative symptom scores in three groups were significantly different (P<0.05).Both of the treatment group and the control group I were superior to the control group Ⅱ (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference between the treatment group and the control group I (P>0.05). Prompted us that three surgical methods can improve the symptoms of constipation, PPH combined intensive catgut implantation and PPH surgery was better than a simple intensive catgut implantation. This study successfully established the technical system of PPH combined with intensive catgut implantation at acupoint in the therapy of mixed constipation, the clinical data analysis shows that this technology can obviously improve the clinical symptoms of mixed constipation, its therapeutic effect is better than a simple intensive catgut or PPH therapy treatment. It is a operation method with excellent curative effect, and worthy recommending in the treatments of mixed constipation.
