Objective:To find a new way of the STC treatment and observation of nerve repair and regeneration of the intestinal and dynamic change with traditional Chinese drug. Methods:Through the establishment of "cathartic colon" animal model, forty SD rats were randomly divided into four groups, the model group, the high dose group, the low dose group, and the control group. The high dose group was given by2.4g/ml Zhizhu Aperient soup, the low dose group was given by1.2g/ml Zhizhu Aperient soup, the model group and the control group were given normal saline. Intestinal transmission function of rats were observed. We applied electron microscopy to observe rats colon. Meantime, m-RNA expressions of GDNF and NOS in the Rat colon were measured using reverse transcriptional-polymerase chain reaction. Results:Ink promote length and percentage (black dye long length/total length) in model group were shorter than those in the control group, the high dose group and the low dose group (all P<0.01).Under the electronic microscope the colon’s myenteric plexus ultrastructure of traditional Chinese drug model group were improved. The vacuoles were obversely decreased. m-RNA expressions of GDNF in the control group were higher than those in the model group (P=0.015),in the high dose group were higher than those in the model group (P=0.016). m-RNA expressions of NOS in the control group were lowered more in the model group (P=0.03), in the high dose group were lowered more in the model group (P=0.047)Conclusion:Zhizhu Aperient soup has obviously effectiveness in improving intestinal transmission function. Its mechanism of action was possibly correlated with its effects on up-regulating m-RNA expressions of GDNF and down-regulating m-RNA expressions of NOS.
