Clinical Observation On The Treatment Ofdouble Lower Limbs Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy With Acupuncture Combine Acupoint Catgut-Embedding

Objective:To compare the curative effects of acupuncture combine acupoint catgut-embedding therapy with simple acupuncture on the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, aims to provide effective treatment for clinical treatment of this disease.Methods:60cases of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) included in the standard of patients, according to the principle of random divided into two groups, the treatment group30cases and the control group of30patients. We gave the treatment group acupuncture combine acupoint catgut-embedding therapy, the acupuncture points are:bilateral Zusanli, Yinlingquan, Sanyinjiao, Xuanzhong, Taixi, Taichong and the acupoint catgut-embedding points are bilateral Zusanli and Sanyinjiao; and the control group were treated for conventional acupuncture therapy only, the points are as same as the treatment group. The DPN symptom observation schedule integral and MNSI integral are tested, and tibial nerve, common peroneal nerve and sural nerve of nerve conduction velocity change data comparison before and after treatment.Results:1. After treatment the treatment group and control group total effective rate were83.3%and66.7%respectively, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);2. The treatment group after treatment of DPN symptom observation schedule integral is lower than the control group (P<0.01);3. The treatment group after treatment of Michigan neuropathy screening instrument score is lower than the control group (P<0.01);4. The treatment group after treatment of tibial nerve MNCV was higher than control group (P<0.01);5. The treatment group after treatment of the common peroneal nerve MNCV was higher than control group (P<0.05);6. The treatment group after treatment of sural nerve SNCV was higher than control group(P <0.05);Conclusion:1. Acupuncture combine acupoint catgut-embedding therapy can improve the DPN patients’clinical symptoms(e. g. pain and numbness of limbs).2. Acupuncture combine acupoint catgut-embedding therapy can improve the DPN patients’nerve conductive velocity.3. The acupuncture combine acupoint catgut-embedding therapy is an effective, green, convenient and economic clinical treatment.
