Objective:To explore the relationship between the incidence of common complications of PCOS and TCM syndrome types, which was based on analysis of177cases of polycystic ovary syndrome with common complications. Information such as TCM syndrome type, laboratory data et, was collected. We aim to know each syndrome type of PCOS patients prone to high incidence of complications. This play a proactive role in the treatment of PCOS with common complications, which can be prevented early and thus improving the quality of patients’life.Method:177cases of PCOS with common complications conform to the standard. Registering the personal information of these cases.Filling out the constitution of TCM scale and the clinical observation table, including menstrual history, physical examination, laboratory examination and living habits. Then we summarized TCM syndrome type of the common complications in PCOS patients and the distribution of patients with common complications corresponding to each TCM syndrome type. Then we will draw conclusions from the statistical results, using the method of frequency and variance analysis for data statistics.Result:(1) TCM syndrome type distributions of PCOS patients with common complications:spleen deficiency and phlegm type (40.68%), phlegm and blood stasis type (30.51%), kidney deficiency and liver depression type (15.82%), kidney deficiency and blood stasis type (12.99%).(2) The incidence of the complications of spleen deficiency and phlegm type PCOS:metabolic syndrome (54.17%), reduction of glucose tolerance (33.33%),nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (30.56%), diabetes (8.33%). This indicate that spleen deficiency and phlegm type PCOS patients prone to MS. Although the incidence of diabetes is low, IGT, which is the risk indicator, was4times higher, indicating that DM should be proactively treated when occurs to IGT.(3) The incidence of the complications of phlegm and blood stasis type PCOS:metabolic syndrome (50.00%), nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (38.89%), reduction of glucose tolerance (24.07%), diabetes (12.96%),which gradually declined. The incidence of diabetes is higher than the other three syndrome types. Three common complications are visible prone to phlegm and blood stasis type PCOS.(4) The incidence of the complications of kidney deficiency and liver depression type PCOS:nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (54.17%), the metabolic syndrome (35.71%), reduction of glucose tolerance (28.57%), diabetes (7.14%). Kidney deficiency and liver depression type PCOS is susceptible to NAFLD, whose ratio is significantly higher than MS. liver depression has visible damage on the liver. When such patients come to see a doctor, they should be explained the role of mood factors to adjust themselves in addition to the application of CHM to nourish kidney sooth Liver and regulate menstruation.(5) The incidence of the complications of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type PCOS:metabolic syndrome (65.22%), reduction of glucose tolerance (34.78%),and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (30.43%).Conclusion:The three TCM types of polycystic ovary syndrome, which are spleen deficiency and phlegm type, phlegm and blood stasis type and kidney deficiency and blood stasis type, are susceptible to common complications of metabolic syndrome.
