Objective:To explore the association between characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) Syndrome Elements of drug addicts relapse and the biochemical indices; To provide references for clinical syndrome differentiation of TCM treatment of drug addiction, and to serve the prevention and control of drug addiction. Methods:Experimental group is354cases of convalescence mandatory drug addicts who were volunteering for the study, including187cases from Fuzhou Compulsory Rehabilitation Centers (hereinafter referred to as the public security group), and167cases from the compulsory rehabilitation centers under the jurisdiction of justice department of drug administration (hereinafter referred to as the judicial group). Four diagnostic information were normalized extraction. The characteristics of TCM Syndrome Elements were collected by using Syndrome Elements Differentiation, and Liver, Kidney function, Blood lipids, and Blood glucose index were detected.166cases of health students were randomly selected as the health control group in this research.Results:1. The distribution of Syndrome Elements:In the empirical syndrome nature of disease, phlegm and qi stagnation are the most common; In the deficiency syndrome nature of disease, qi deficiency and yang deficiency are the most frequent; in the disease’s location of Syndrome Elements, liver, kidney and spleen lie in the first place.2. The level of Liver function and Blood lipids in convalescence mandatory drug addicts is significantly higher than that of the health control group.3. Association between Syndrome Elements and the biochemical indices:In the disease location, Gallbladder was significantly related to CREA; in the nature of disease. Yin deficiency was significantly associated with BUN.Conclusion: 1. Drug addiction is the result of many viscera dysfunction, including liver, kidney, spleen, and there is great signification to treat it through liver, kidney, spleen. Liver depression and kidney deficiency and spleen afflicted with sputum dampness is the pathological basis. Deficient root with overdo superficial, vacuity-repletion complex pattern is the symptomatology feature.2. Long-term drug abusing has the obvious damage to the liver function and nutritional metabolism. Liver and kidney function damage can be increased with the progress in drug addiction, which implied that rehabilitation work should pay attention to the liver and kidney function addicts.3. Drug abusers’metabolism is associated with the characteristics of TCM Syndrome Elements, which may be related to the body’s metabolism abnormality after drug abuse.4. Drug abusers’CREA and BUN can be used as a reference index for respectively diagnosis gallbladder and Yin deficiency syndrome factor.
