Objective:To study the chronic oral toxicity of 50.5 percent C17H22N2O4. Method: SD rats were given C17H22N2O4 which is added into the forage of 0,44.05,135.65,540.75 mg/kg/d for 180 days. General condition, body weight,the main organic indices (heart, liver, kidney, brain, spleen, lung and spermary, ovary). ä¸lood indices (RBC, HCT, MCV, HB, MCH, MCHC, PLT, WBC).biochemical indices (ALT, AST, ALP, TP, ALB, GLB, A/G, LDH ,T-BIL, CRE, BUN,) tissue slide was observed under light microscope. Results: At the end of the test ( 180 days after starting), some visceras(heart, liver, kidney, brain, spleen, lung and spermary, ovary) in the group of 540.70mg/kg/d showed abnormal manifestation. some visceras(heart, liver, kidney, brain, spleen, lung ) in the group of 135.65mg/kg/d are abnormal.After the test, the body weight of male animals in the 540.75 mg/kg/d group decreased,GLB in the group of the 540.70 mg/kg/d drop,A/G in the 540.75 mg/kg/d had significantly increased compared with the group of the 0 mg/kg/d.Lung index and ovary index in the group of 540.70 mg/kg/d increased,heart index in the groups 135.65 and 540.75 mg/kg/d increased. After 90 days the test was started, some visceras(heart, liver, kidney, brain, spleen, lung) in the group of 540.70mg/kg/d showed abnormal manifestation. some visceras( kidney, brain, spleen, lung) in the group of 135.65mg/kg/d are abnormal.Spermary indices in the groups of 135.65 and 540.75 mg/kg/d increased. Body weight in the groups of 135.65 and 540.75 mg/kg/d decreased. However, during the period of test all indices of the groups 44.05 mg/kg/d were normal. Conclusion: According to "Assessment of the chronic oral toxicity result of the rat"(GB15670-1995), in the chronic oral test ,.the maximum non-effective dose of 50.5 percent C17H22N2O4 in SD rat is 44.05 mg·kg-1·d-1...
