Objective:By studying Atractylodes seven particles affect colonic slow transit constipation mouse colon tissue nitric oxide (nitric oxide, NO) and vasoactive intestinal peptide (vasoactive intestinal peptide, VIP), and to explore its therapeutic effect and mechanism of action, provide strong experimental evidence for clinical practice, providing further evidence based medicine and Chinese medicine ideas and methods for the treatment of colon slow transit constipation.Methods:Taking60male Kunming rats of clean grade,which divided into normal group, model group, Atractylodes seven particles group and mosapride group,15rats in each group. Except for the normal group(Equal isotonic normal saline subcutaneously), the remaining rats in other groups daily subcutaneous injection of2.5mg/kg of morphine hydrochloride to set up STC model for total45days.After the mold established, each group are in the corresponding drug treatment once daily for14days.At the final injection,measure the propulsive rates of rats intestinal ink and compare with the level of NO&VIP in blood serum of rats with ELISA.Results:(1) The Propulsive rate of rats’ intestinal ink in the Atractylodes seven particles group was significantly higher than the mosapride group,P<0.05.(2) The content level of NO and VIP in colon tissue of rats in the model group rises compared to the normal group,significant difference(p<0.01).(3)The level of NO and VIP in colon tissue of rats from the Atractylodes seven particles and mosapride groups go downwards in various degree compared to the model group,significant difference(P<0.01). Among them,the content of NO from the Atractylodes group is slightly higher than mosapride without significant difference(P<0.05),while the content of VIP is a little more than mosapride with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:Atractylodes seven particles can significantly strengthen the intestinal transit function of colon slow transit constipation rats,which may be connected with lowering the level of NO and VIP in colon tissue.
