| Objective:To observe the efficacy of Hua Liao Jian Du Formula on bone marrow suppression caused by vinorelbine plus cisplatin.Methods:This research was a before-after study.120cases of non-small cell lung cancer and pharyngeal cancer which treated from February2011to December2012were randomly divided into two groups:the treatment group and the contrast group. All cases were received chemotherapy of vinorelbine plus cisplatin for one cycle. The treatment group served with Hua Liao Jian Du Formula from a week before chemotherapy until three weeks after chemotherapy. The contrast group received-hemotherapy only.Results:The two groups of patients in age、gender、tumor type and KPS score have no statistical significance (P>0.05). There is statistical significance in prevent leucopenia of two groups within one week after chemotherapy (P<0.05). There is another statistical significance in prevent thrombocytopenia of two groups within the third week after chemotherapy (P<0.05). The treatment group proved a better therapeutic effect (P<0.05). Two to three weeks after chemotherapy, the treatment group proved a better therapeutic effect in increasing leukocytes than The contrast group. The treatment group could inhibit the decrease of the KPS physical force grade (P<0.05). There is no statistical significance in liver function, renal function, cardiac function of two groups within three weeks after chemotherapy (P>0.05).Conclusion:Hua Liao Jian Du Formula can prevent the bone marrow suppression caused by vinorelbine plus cisplatin. It can recover leukocytes effectively. It can improve patient’s quality of life, and enhance the tolerance of chemotherapy in patients with cancer. Hua Liao Jian Du Formula is an effective and safe method and deserves futher study. |
