Objective:To observe the expression of HMGB1(High mobility group protein boxl) in tissue of ovarian endometriosis and its clinical significancesMethods:The levels of HMGB1in ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium of29patients with ovarian endometriosis and endometrium of29cases with non-endometrioses. were respectively detected by RT-PCR and Western-blotting.Results:HMGB1was expressed in all the three groups. The relative expression level of HMGB1mRNA is:0.54383±0.0565;0.3016±0.0614;0.1536±0.0444respectively F=377.923,(p<0.0001);The relative of HMGB1protein is:0.83990±0.12869,0.40100±0.16425,0.19986±0.08162, respectively F=185.625,(p=0.0000), There are significant differences among three groups (p<0.05). The expression level of HMGB1was related to clinical stages, however had no marked relation with age, the diameter of lump and course of disease.Conclusion:1) Over expression of HMGB1in ovary endometriosis possibly indicates HMGB1play a significant role occurrence and development of ovary endometriosis’s.2) The overexpression of HMGB1 consistenly according to clinical stage, which proved that HMGB1maybe tightly associated with the severity of the disease and likely to become biomarker.
