Attribution style, problem behaviors and psychological symptoms are the mostimportant three indicators for the healthy psychology and perfect personality ofmedical care students in vocational schools and they will also have a stronginfluence on the students’ professional study and intership. It is quite significant and essential for medical care students at vocationalschool level to make a thorough study of the attribution style, problem behaviors andthe development status of psychological symptoms and make an analysis of thecorrelation between attribution style, problem behaviors and psychologicalsymptoms. This study will facilitate and improve the students’ personality perfectionand mental health. Thus, the study will be quite meaningful and valuable for thestudents’ learning quality, outcome and their intership in the near future.Objective1.Description of attribution style, problem behavior and the development statusof psychological symptoms.2.I would like to make a thorough comparision between the levels of differentclasses, different sexes, different grades of nursing students in terms of attributionalstyle, problem behaviour and psycological symptoms.3. I will give a detailed description of the following factors, such as the placesof household registration, the reasons for choosing nursing profession, semesteracademic achievement, whether they are class leaders or not, admissions, monthlyhousehold income per capita, growth situation, ages of head teachers, parents ’marital status, number of siblings, age and other basic information which I dobelieve have a strong impact on attributional style, problem behaviour andpsychological symptoms with medical care students.4.Making a comparision of all the dimensions of attribution style, problembehavior and psychological symptoms to test the hypothesis.Method The design type of this study is actually a descriptive study of non-experimentalresearch and it mainly uses the cluster sampling, which started in2012and wasbased on793medical care students of2010and2011in a certain vocational schoolin Changchun. The researcher worked out a questionnaire survey of medical care students atvocational schools based on basic information such as demographic data, attributional style questionnaire (ASQ), strengths and difficulties questionnaire(SDQ), symptom checklist90,(SCL-90), and isodose chart. Then, the researchermade a detailed study of attribution style, problem behaviors and psychologicalsymptoms respectively, reclaimed all the valid questionnaires and unified taxationcodes. Afterwards, the researcher employed the software, Epidata3.02to do thedouble entry and validation and he also used the software SPSS17.0and Epicalc2000to process the date and do some statistic analysis. The specific statisticalapproaches are as follows:1. descriptive analysis:the composition ratio and thestandard deviation2. inferential analysis:independent samples, t checkout, varianceanalysis and correlation analysis.ResultsWhen encountering the positive affairs, the medical care students tend to do theintrinsic, lasting and integral attributions. When encountering the negative affairs, they are apt to do the explicit, temporary and partial attributions. The problembehavior is slightly higher than normal. All the factors of the psychologicalsymptoms, such as the somatization, Interpersonal sensitivity, despression, anxiety, hostility, terror, paranoid, psychosis, etc. are all higher than the norm of both Chineseadults and middle school students with only one factor of the obsessive compulsivesymptoms, which is higher than that of the normal Chinese adults and lower thanmiddle school students (P<0.01).The correlation factors of attributional styles, problem behavior andpsycological symptoms for medical care students can creat remarkable difference inscoring points influenced by different training levels, grades, household registers, admissions, learning results, family income, growth situation, parents’ marriagestatus, and the number of siblings(P<0.05). Also, the noticable discrepancy ofdifferent genders of the students exists in the correlation factors in terms ofattributional styles, problem behavior and psycological symptoms(P<0.05).However, there is no remarkable difference in the internal correlation factors interms of psycological symptoms(P>0.05). We can clearly see the strikingdifferences(P<0.05) in the internal correlation factors from the different reasonsfor choosing nursing specialty and being class leaders or not in terms of problembehavior but the difference in internal correlation factors in terms of attributional style and psycological symptoms is not outstanding(P>0.05). The scoring points inthe correlation factors for head teachers and medical care students of different agegroups are remarkable in terms of attributional styles and psycological symptoms(P<0.05)while the descrapency in the internal correlation factors in terms ofproblem behavior is not obvious(P>0.05).Some dimensions of the attributional style relate to the dimensions in theproblem behavior and psychological symptoms to some extent(P<0.05) while thepsychological symptoms have strong positive correlations with the problem behavior(P<0.01).Conclusion1. When encountering the positive affairs, the medical care students tend to dothe intrinsic, lasting and integral attributions while encountering the negative affairs, they are apt to do the explicit, temporary and partial attributions. The problembehavior is slightly higher than normal. The factors of the psychological symptomsare all higher than the norm of the normal Chinese adults and middle schoolstudents.2. Thescoring points in the correlation factors for head teachers and medical care studentsof different age groups are remarkable in terms of attributional styles andpsycological symptoms.3. The dimensions of the attributional style relates to the problem behavior andpsychological symptoms. The higher the psychological symptoms of the medicalcare students are, the higher the problem behavior will be, and vice versa.
