Objective: Observe the clinical efficacy on adjunctive therapy of thenegative potential therapeutic apparatus for patients with hypertension, inorder to verify that the equipment is useful for adjunctive therapy inpatients with hypertension. Explore the physical factor for the adjunctivetherapy of patients with hypertension and other common diseases.Methods:We use double-blind, randomized and controlled design.60Hypertension patients were divided into test group(n=29) and controlgroup(n=31), all patients signed an informed consent. Negative potentialtherapeutic apparatus use Chongqing new earth electronics co., LTD.Control group used placebo treatment(starting, there were also negativeoutput on the screen display, but the internal output circuit was cut off, toprevent the therapeutic effect). The patients were treated and observed forthree months continuously, each time for60min, taken the conventionalmedicine, monitored the blood pressure and heart rate every two weeks. Allclinical data was analyzed statistically by SAS software. Do the basic description about Therapeutic effect index, use within group comparisonsand comparisons between group, describe the count index in frequency andpercentage, use chi-square test or Fisher’s exact test in within groupcomparisons; describe measure index in mean、standard deviation、median,use T test、repeated measures analysis of variance in comparisons betweengroup.Results:There was no obvious influence on gender, age and height fortherapeutic effect of the treatment instrument, the efficacy of the test groupand the control group and drug reduction therapy instrument adjuvanttherapy to lower blood pressure effect (P <0.01). After dose reduction,subjects’ systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and mean heartrate increased, it showed that the instrument adjuvant therapy can reducethe drug dose for the treatment of hypertension, but the blood pressure andheart rate fluctuations in one week showed that the treatment instrumentcan’t take the place of drug treatment. The instrument were "safe" in thecourse of treatment, no adverse events.Conclusion:Negative potential therapeutic apparatus can help theadjuvant therapy in patients with hypertension in a certain degree, but itcan’t take the place of drug treatment. This method is simple, noninvasive,without side effect and convenient, which has low requirements fortreatment environment.
