| Objective To observe the preliminary effects on Combined treatmentof advanced metastatic spinal tumor with Percutaneous vertebroplasty andpediculoplasty.Methods6cases of metastatic vertebral body tumor complicatingwith unilateral or bilateral vertebral pedicle fracture were treated withpercutaneous vertebroplasty and pediculoplasty under C-arm guidance fromJanuary2010to October2012. And we have observed the clinical effects ofdecreased pain and complications in these patients after the surgery.Results All patients reported well-marked pain relief. TheVAS(preoperative) was8.1±1.0, VAS(2h after the surgery) was4.6±0.9,VAS(24h after the surgery) was3.5±0.8, VAS(1week after the surgery) was3.4±0.6, VAS(4weeks after the surgery) was3.7±0.9. There were no nervecompressed symptoms in all patients, and no case involving cement leakagein the vertebral canal or nerve canal was found using Multislice helical CTafter the surgery.Conclusion Percutaneous vertebroplasty combined with pediculoplasty is a palliative treatment for the patient who suffered fromadvanced metastatic vertebral body tumor complicating with unilateral orbilateral vertebral pedicle fracture by providing the benefits of mininal injury,pain relief and Partial stabilization, improve the quality of life. |
