As is known to all, Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) becomesmulti-drug resistant that makes treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis evenmore difficult.Decreases quality of patient life seriously. And mortality isincreased greatly[1]. It proved to be the huge obstacles of global MTBcontrol. Improvements on tuberculosis treatment raises new challenges[2-3].With the slow and limited development of medicine of anti-MTBchemotherapy drugs research, demands for surgical treatment of multi-drugresistant tuberculosis patients will increase. But if patients have alreadydeveloped to serious lung damagem and even chronic respiratoryfailure, not only They will be able to tolerate the surgery, but also theirsurgical doctors will not know how to finish the surgery. This part of thepatients can be declared basically waiting for death. So, this review mainlydiscusses the importance of surgical treatment for multi-drug resistantpatients and the importance of selection of surgical timing and ofoperation indications. Put forward warnings of this phenomenon:somepatients due to delayed surgery, eventually miss operation time, regret todeath.
