Ischemic Cerebrovascular disease which is one of the contemporarythreat to the public health, is a group of brain dysfunctions related todisease of the blood vessels supplying the brain. It includes two differentprocesses: transient ischemic attack and ischemic stroke. And the transientischemic attack is a individual risk factor of ischemic stroke. The other riskfactors such as age, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, arrhythmia,hyperlipidaemia, obesity and smoking are already well known. From theresearches of the decades, the increased level of plasmic homocysteine isthought to be a individual risk factors of the transient ischemic attack bythe pathogical role of the process in the atherogenesis and thrombogenesis.This review is aimed to argue the latest researches and processes of therelationship between the hyperhomocysteinemia and the transient ischemicattack, and also the prognosis and the treatment of transient ischemic attack.And it gives some suggestions in the part of treatment ofhyperhomocysteinemia in the way of epigenetics.
