A hospital should be patient-directed and provide better service to keep its competitiveness in the rat race of health care industry. One efficient way is to improve hospitals’human resource management. As the core of human resource management, performance management for clinicians plays a significant role in hospitals’long-term development, with its effects on working enthusiasm and service quality. So the author, by reviewing recent literature, puts forward a scientific and appropriate doctors’performance evaluation system, which will assess the doctors’performance much more comprehensively and fairly.Several chapters are in this dissertation. Chapter I and II are introduction and literature review respectively. Chapter III describes how to select and weigh each indicator in doctors’performance evaluation system, where altogether four methods, Balanced-Scorecard, Rough-Set, AHP and Variation Coefficient, will be used. Chapter Ⅳ outlines the establishment of a totally new evaluation model based on Evidential Reasoning Algorithm, which is better at dealing with numerous uncertain information. Chapter V is the empirical research on the doctors’comprehensive performance evaluation and analysis of each indicator’s weight sensitivity. The empirical results show that it is feasible and practical to apply Evidential Reasoning in doctors’ performance evaluation.
