Objective:The status of basic occupational health services in Shajing Street, Bao’an District was investigated, to provid the reference for occupational disease prevention and control and to improve the basic occupational health services.Methods:The data were from the focus part of National Occupational Health Status Survey carried out in July to October2011. The survey involved65basic occupational health services pilot counties (districts), which including the Shajing Street, Bao’an District, Shenzhen City. The investigation contents comprised of the occupational hazards, the employer’s occupational health surveillance and the occupational health management situation in the area. This study selected381enterprises which had occupational hazards, and its workers who exposed to occupational hazards as research object. The proportion, frequency was applied to describe the situation of basic occupational health services in Shajing Street, Bao’an District, Shenzhen City. The comparison of proportion and rate among two or more sets of data was used the χ2test. The test level was0.05if no special remark. All statistical analyses were completed with the SPSS13.0package.Results:1The number of enterprises which had occupational hazards in the Shajing Street, was381(15.57%), of which comprised25large-scale, 154medium-scale and202small-scale enterprises. The total number of employee in these enterprises was approximately230,700. The industry mainly involved electronics, plastics, metal, printing and the others.The major occupational hazards were benzene, n-hexane, chlorylene, noise, dust, acid and alkali in the area.2. The monitored points of occupational hazards in enterprises where occurred occupational hazards, were2,626, The actual monitoring rate was100%, and the pass rate was78.75%of which the large-scale enterprises had the highest.3. The physical examination rate of the workers exposed to occupational hazards before, during and after employment, was97.33%,92.12%and78.93%, separately. The detection rate of occupational contraindications was1.09%,1.23%and0.05%,respectively.The detection rate of suspected occupational disease was0.09%,0.39%and0.35%,respectively, and the detection rate of diagnosed occupational disease was0.05%and0.00%, separately.4.The signing rate of labor contract on workers of enterprises where occurred occupational hazard was99.74%, and the participati ng rate of work-relate injury insurance was99.59%,89.23%of the enterprise labor contract included labor conditions and occupational disease hazard protection.5.73.75%of the enterprises which had occupational hazards, established occupational health management.69.55%of the enterprise set or specified the occupational health department, and80.31%of enterprise arranged the full-time or part-time occupational health management personnel.93.96%of enterprises formulated the plan of occupational health education and training.6. As for the occupational health management system construction, the establishment proportion on distribution and use of the personal protective equipment was highest (94.23%), the establishment proportion of management system on occupational disease hazard protection (79.29%) and occupational health examination system (77.69%) taken the second place.7. Furthermore,90.29%of enterprises set up warning label for the positions where occurred or generated occupational disease ha-zards.Conclusion:1. The basic occupational health services played a role on prevention and control of occupational hazards in Shajing Street, Bo’an District, Shenzhen City.2. Both of the actual monitoring rate and compliance rate of occupational hazards were high in the enterprises that had occupational hazards. While, the noise nuisance enterprises still need to strengthen the noise monitoring. 3. The health examination of the workers exposed occupational hazards need to further improve, especially for the noise and chemical poison contacted persons.4. The enterprises should put more investment to the occupational health department and strengthen the construction of occupational health staff.
