Objective:To evaluate the clini-pathological features and recurrence factors ofepithelial borderline ovarian tumors. Methods:The clinical and pathology information of60patients wereretrospectively analyzed. We compared the clinical features and pathologicalcharacteristics, analyzed of patients with clinical symptoms, tumor location, age, clinical stage, histological type, micro invasion, tumor rupture, peritoneal planting, lymph node involvement, preoperative tumor marker levels, etc, and found out theinfluence factors of relapse. Results:The mean age of60BOTs was41.5, and age concentrated in20to50years old. The clinical symptoms: Abdominal distension29cases (48.3%); Pelvic bagpiece18cases (30.0%); Lower quadrant abdominal pain in16cases (26.7%); Menstrualabnormalities,10cases (16.7%); Vaginal bleeding in8cases (13.3%),12patients hadno special clinical symptoms (20.0%). The operation types: Conservative surgery38cases(63.3%); Radical surgery22cases(26.7%). The Operation method:8cases (13.3%)used of laparoscopic surgery;52cases (86.7%) used of open operation for treatment. The histological types:31cases were serous tumors (51.7%);22cases were mucinoustumors (36.7%);7cases were other types (11.6%). The ultrasound examination showed:cystic42cases (70%); Cystic or solid mass in16cases (26.7%), and a solid mass in2cases (3.3%).39patients(65.0%) were at FIGO stage Ia,9patients (15.0%) at stage Ib,4patients (6.7%) at stage Ic,3patients (5.0%) at stage II and5patients (8.3%) at stageIII.58patients had CA125measurement,33cases (56.9%) had positive result;19cases(36.2%) had positive result;46cases has CEA measurement,5cases (10.9%) hadpositive result. Univariate analysis showed that the operation type, tumor location, tumor rupture, micro infiltration, peritoneal planting and whether line comprehensivestage surgery were the recurrence factors of epithelial borderline ovarian tumors. Conclusion:BOTs frequently affect younger patients and has an excellent prognosis, while they are not exempted from a risk of recurrence. The operation type, tumor location, tumor rupture, micro infiltration, peritoneal planting and whether linecomprehensive stage surgery were the recurrence factors of epithelial borderline ovariantumors. For the choice of treatment plan should choose carefully, according to patientcondition in patients at high risk for recurrence should be closely followed up for a longtime.
