Study On The Correlation Between Depression And TCD Detection After Stroke

Purpose: This study hope that through the evaluation of60cases of post strokedepression patients, to evaluate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine on improving theblood supply of the internal carotid artery in patients with PSD and traditional Chinesemedicine for the treatment of depression patients after stroke.Method: A total of60patients with post stroke depression patients were randomlydivided into treatment group and control group, each group of each30people, were testedwith TCD (two patients with transcranial Doppler ultrasound instrument unified model DWLMDPX2of intracranial artery in patients with detection of the mean flow velocity andpulsatility index), HAMD, BI rating scale. The control group only neurological department ofinternal medicine routine western medical treatment, treatment group in addition toconventional treatment combined with Shugan Jieyu medicine (plus or minuscaihushugansan) treatment. The two group of each60days after treatment, compared theclinical effects of two groups.Result: The average blood flow velocity of the internal carotid artery (Vm) andpulsatility index (PI) detection value change, Patients in the two groups was statisticallyanalyzed (P<0.05) most of the treatment group is better than control group; HAMD scalescore reduction rate by statistics, analysis of two groups of patients (P<0.05) in treatmentgroup than in control group (Barthel index; the BI scale) scores, statistics analysis of twogroups of patients (P<0.05) treatment group than the control group.Conclusion: Traditional Chinese medicine has a good effect on improving the internalcarotid artery in PSD patients, can effectively improve the quality of life of patients, andreduce the patients’ and families’ psychological and economic burden. With the increasingnumber of patients with depression after stroke, Chinese medicine treatment will be reflectedin its unique advantage.
