Observation On The Efficacy Of HBeAg-positive Chronic Hepatitis B Using Traditional Chinese Drugs With The Function Of Strengthen Spleen And Clearing Away Heat Dampness And Pegylated Interferons α-2b.

This paper focused on the treatment of HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B, using traditional Chinese drugs with the function of strengthen spleen and clearing away heal dampness and pegylated interferons α-2b. From the view of biochemistry, virology and serology， the author tested several indexes and viewed the symptoms and signs of traditional Chinese medicine integral to make the effect observation on the treatment of HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B using traditional Chinese drugs with the function of strengthen spleen and clearing away heat dampness and pegylated interferons α-2b. This paper also explored the effect of combining use traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and the western antiviral drugs, hoping TCM and western medicine can learn from each other in mutual emulation and provide effective methods to the treatment of chronic hepatitis B with new ideas on combining TCM and western medicine.40HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B cases of outpatient and inpatient were selected from the Infectious Disease of Jiangsu province hospital of traditional Chinese medicine and the Liver Disease branch of Chinese People’s Liberation Army81Hospital during January of2011and August of2012. The cases were even-randomly put into traditional Chinese drugs combine pegylated interferons α-2b group(treatment group) and pegylated interferons α-2b group (control group). The time of therapy is24weeks. Blood Routine Test, liver function, HBV-DNA and HBeAg/Anti-HBe before and after the treatment were observed respectively. The TCM symptoms(hypochondriac pain, lassitude and poor appetite etc.) before and after the treatment and the effect also observed. The tests were operated during the0week,12th week and24th week of treatment episode. According the comprehensive marks on the same group and different groups, the therapeutic effects were made.The comparation of the TCM symptoms in the0week,12th week and24th week showed that the treatment group were better than the control group, and the comparations have statistical significance(p<0.01). The ALT and AST of the two groups were both improved in the12th week and24th week compare with0week(p<0.01). Compare the ALT of the two groups in12th week and24th week showed that the comparation has statistical significance(p<0.05, p<0.01). Compare the WBC and N of Blood Routine Test in the24th week showed that the recovery rate of treatment group was better than the control group, and the comparation has statistical significance(p<0.05). The comparation of HBV-DNA has statistical significance in the24th week (p<0.05). The two groups HBeAg/Anti-HBe have distinct differences in the0week,12th week and24th week, and the result has statistical significance(p<0.01). Comparation of the two groups during the12th week and24th week showed that the sputum negative conversion rates of HBeAg and the turnover rate of the Anti-HBe have no statistical significance in the12th week(p>0.05), but they have statistical significance in the24th week(p<0.05).During the treatment, the combining use of traditional Chinese drugs with the function of strengthen spleen and clearing away heat dampness and the pegylated interferons a-2b has the advantages of displaying the predominance of TCM, improving uncomfortable symptoms caused by disease, and relieving the untoward effects caused by the interferons. Moreover, the drugs in selected prescriptions have the function of immunoregulation and antivirus to improve the response rate(including the biochemistry, serology and virology response) of hepatitis B to pegylated interferons a-2b, and this has significant meaning on the antivirus treatment and its prognosis.
