Clinical And Experimental Research Of Xing Qi Run Chang Fa On Treating The Irritable Bowel Syndrome With Constipation

The first departmentObjectives:To observe the clinical therapeutic effect on irritable bowel syndrome with constipation by the method of Xing Qi Run Chang.Methods:This research was based on80cases of outpatients with Qi stagnation, intestinal dryness and were randomly divided into two groups. One group was the treatment group,40patients of which were treated with Xing Qi Run Chang Fang. The other group was the control group, with40patients being treated with Macrogol4000powder. These patients all met the TCM diagnosis criterion. Both groups were treated for four weeks. Clinical symptoms’ changes before and after treatment and after one month of untreatment were detected respectively to evaluate the therapeutic effects and long-term clinical efficacy.Results:After one course of treatment, the total effective rate in the treatment group is90.00%The total effective rate in the control group is72.50%. There is a significant difference in the total effective rate between the treatment group and control group in the statistics (P<0.01). The effective rate from the treatment group is dearly superior.Both of the two groups are obviously improve symptoms (P<0.05); The degree of improvement about Xing Qi Run Chang Fa is better than Macrogol4000powder in abdominal pain, defecation state, stool frequency and dry mouth (P<0.05); The time of the treatment group on alleviating the abdominal pain, mucous stool and dry mouth is faster than the control group (P<0.05).Before and after one course of treatment, there were no significant effects in both of two groups. After one month of untreatment, the long-term clinical efficacy about Xing Qi Run Chang Fa is better than Macrogol4000powder (P<0.01).Conclusions:In the treating on irritable bowel syndrome with constipation, Xing Qi Run Chang Fa has the significant, safe and good long-term clinical efficacy.The second departmentObjective:To explore the Xing Qi Run Chang Decoction on5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)、Vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP) and Substance P (SP)in rats with irritable bowel syndrome of constipation.Methods:The rat models of IBS-C were under the rectal balloon dilation and water restriction.,32rats were divided randomly into normal group, model group, Xing Qi Run Chang Decoction group, and Macrogol4000powder group.To test the contents of5-HT、SP and VIP in colon tissue and compare group differences.Results:An increasing trend of5-HT、SP and VIP in colon tissue indicated great difference between the normal group and the model group (P<0.01). Compared with the model group, the content of5-HT in colon tissue as well as SP and VIP content in the Xing Qi Run Chang Decoction were reduced.(P<0.01).Conclusion:The Xing Qi Run Chang Decoction can reduce the content of5-HT、VIP and SP in colon tissue of rats with irritable bowel syndrome of constipation, thereby improving the symptoms of constipation.
