| Objective The aim of this research is observing clinic effect of Xiao Ling Cream treatment for bronchial asthma and providing evidence to introduce the Cream therapy into clinical practice for asthma,and also, to explore way of achieving long-term control with Chinese medicine combined with western medicine, reducing the recurrence side effects to the minimum.Methods1. We selected60clinical cases from Kunshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and randomly divided them into two groups equally. The treatment group had the Xiao Ling cream which was made individually and processed in the hospital25g twice a day for40days, and used drugs according to the guidelines if necessary. The control group had the JinShuiBao capsules4#3times a day for40days, and used drugs with close medical follow-up as same as the treatment group.2. We collected the clinical statistics of acute attack frequency of asthma, lung function and indices of airway inflammation before and after the test, then analyzed them with SPSS17.0software.Results The total effective rate of treatment group was93.3%, which was only80%in control group. The statistics had no significant differences(P>0.05) between the two groups before the test, and improvement on all the subjects mentioned above appeared after the test in both two groups with significant statistical differences (P<0.05). Still, the treatment group played better on the improvement of symptom scores, acute attack frequency and ACT score with significant differences(P<0.01) after the test between the two groups. However, after the test, the two groups did nearly the same on improvement of pulmonary function and indices of airway inflammation without significant differences (P>0.05).Conclusion The Xiao Ling Cream, which was superior in the alleviating of clinical symptom, reducing acute attack frequency, had better therapeutic effect in treating bronchial asthma and was proved to be an effective method of preventing aggravation. |
