Purpose: To observe the clinical efficacy of combined acupuncture and moxibustionin the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.Methods: This study used a randomized controlled trial,80cases of qualifiedprostatic hyperplasia patients were divided into treatment group41cases and control groupof39cases. The treatment group were treated by acupuncture combined with moxibustiontherapy, the control group were given oral Qianlie Kang treatment. Two groups wererecorded respectively before treatment, after treatment of prostate volume, residual urinevolume, I-PSS score, QOL score were observed; the data were statistically analyzed withSPSS18.0software.Results: the patients before and after treatment in the two groups:1Comparison ofI-PSS score, QOL score, bladder residual urine volume were significantly different(P<0.05), prompt treatment, two groups of patients with prostatic hyperplasia symptomswere improved significantly. There was no significant difference between two groups ofpatients before and after prostate volume contrast (P>0.05).2of the two groups aftertreatment, the treatment group the I-PSS score, QOL score improvement was significantlyhigher than that of the control group (P<0.05), the residual urine volume and the controlgroup had no significant difference (P>0.05).3clinical assessment: the total effective rateof treatment group was94.60%; the control group the total effective rate was80.6%. Thetotal effect of the two groups by rank sum test (P<0.05), the difference was significant.The treatment group was better than control group.Conclusion: Acupuncture with moxibustion clinical efficacy in the treatment ofbenign prostatic hyperplasia significantly, it is worth in clinical application.
