Purpose:This study based on modern literature,comprehensively collected,reorganized, added up and analyzed the document literature of paired acupoints study over the last30years. Then study the regularities to summarize the quantity,regularity and frequency of the usage of paired acupoints involved in clinic.Method:To search the database of CNKI and CPVIP by the means of computer-based retrieval and screen the retrieved passages,then classified and studied.Result:110passages of paired acupoints were involved in this study,which involved234kinds of related diseases including135kinds of internal medicine diseases treated with paired acupoints,39kinds of diseases in orthopedic,26kinds of ENT diseases,14kinds of dermatological diseases,10kinds of gynecologic diseases,5kinds of pediatrics diseases and5kinds of surgical diseases. In addition,213pairs of matched acupoints appeared in the internalized documents,in which Waiguan(SJ5) and Neiguan(PC6) as the matched acupoints appeared30times, Yinlingquan(SP9)and Yanglingquan(GB34)23times,Shenmai(BL62) and Zhaohai(KI6)20times,Sanyinjiao(SP6) and Xuanzhong(GB39)19times,Zhigou(SJ6) and Yanglingquan(SP9)13times,Hegu(LI4) and Taichong(LR3)11times,Quchi(LI11) and Shaohai(HT3)10times.Conclusion:From the perspective of clinical application,paired acupoints is more frequently be used in internal medicine,orthopedics and ENT departments than others.The major acupoints used as paired acupoints are five-shu points,collateral acupoints and eight-meridians convergent acupoints. However, the literature and researches on regularity and mechanism of matching acupoints is relatively lacking now.lt needs to be further discussed.
