Objective:To assess the efficacy of YinJu for the treatment of peri-implant mucositis. Methods:Forty participants who were diagnosed as peri-implant mucositis were randomly allocated to the treatment group and control group according to a random table averagely. Participants in intervention group (n=20) had YinJu as the irrigator to peri-implant pocket after got scaling and root planning. The control group (n=20) had physiological saline as the irrigator after got scaling and root planning. Plaque index, sulcus bleeding index, pocket depth were detected before the operation, after the operation of the3rd day and the7th day and concentration of IL-1β3was tested by ELISA on the3rd day and the7th day after the treatment. Results:None of the participants didn’t follow-up.There are not the Significant statistical differences in baseline indicors between the two groups. The results showed that YinJu group had no difference in the plaque index and pocket depth compared to the control group. But on sulcus bleeding index, the YinJu group got significantly low scores in the7th day of following-up (P=0.01). And for the IL-1βconcentration, YinJu group also had greater decrease (P<0.00001). No serious adverse drug reactions were reported or detected in the both groups. Conclusion:YinJu had the significant effect and safety in treating peri-implant mucositis. But such conclusion needs more clinical trials to be proved.
